LIN PRO contains a significant proportion of flax seed which
is a rich source of lignan. This unique mucilage and the high levels
of Omega-3 fatty acids provide a broad range of health benefits
to horses.
LIN PRO is an excellent animal feed that will provide an
immuno stimulant effect and naturally help the horses to fight disease
and tolerate stress common to high-performance horses. LIN PRO
helps build strong muscles due to its high quality protein and its
high energy provide health, endurance and shiny hair coat.
FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR NUTRITIONAL MERIT AND
THE IMMUNO STIMULANT EFFECT
It is believed that a stronger tissue develops during pregnancy
with animals receiving increased amounts of Omega-3 fatty acids
and therefore animals at birth have increased survivability and
a longer, more productive life.
LIN PRO should be fed to pregnant mares at least 3 months
prior to foaling and after foaling until breeding season.
Feed .8 kg 1 kg/day depending on body condition.
Feeding LIN PRO 3 months prior to foaling helps the horse
to produce healthy tissue in the unborn offspring by producing a
superior cell wall in the lung tissue, the cell wall tissue is stronger
and the white blood cells are more vigorously able to attack invading
bacteria. This process of phagocytosis gives the ability for enhanced
disease resistance.
FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUNG GROWING HORSES AND
MATURE HORSES
LIN PRO should be fed to provide the immuno stimulant effect
and to provide high quality oil and protein. The young horse will
develop a strong body and increased ability to be able to fight
disease and will benefit by having greater endurance.
BENEFITS OF EXTRUDED FEED AS A MEANS OF PROCESSING:
- Improves digestibility and energy availability.
- Extrusion makes starches and carbohydrates more available.
- Improves protein digestibility.
- Extrusion controls the texture and density of the feed.
- Destroys the biological activity of any toxic enzymes in protein.
- Improves the shelf life.
- Increased nutrient availability means less feed is required.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FEEDING LIN PRO
Feeding recommendations for high quality hay, LIN PRO and
hulless oats are listed below.
Ranges are given to accommodate different temperatures and digestive
efficiencies among horses with the lower number in the range used
for the easy-keeper while the higher number should be used for the
more active horse.
Hulless oats contain more digestible energy per kg than conventional
oats. When replacing conventional oats with hulless oats, feed 1
/4 less.
When feeding LIN PRO and hulless oats for the first time
introduce gradually over 7-10 days. All horses should have
free access to water and salt.
